Wendy’s reports 9% increase in Q2 2022 revenue

The total revenue increase was driven by positive comparable same restaurant sales growth at Applebee's and IHOP restaurants.
Total revenue rose by 1.5% to $522.7m, from $515m in the same period a year ago.
Worldwide system sales grew 3%, with KFC at 1%, Taco Bell at 10% and Pizza Hut flat.
Globally, the coffee chain opened 318 net new stores during the quarter.
The restaurant company’s system-wide sales rose by 7.5% to $633.6m.
Chipotle reported a 35.9% increase in in-restaurant sales, with only 39% of transactions coming from digital orders.
The American fast-food giant’s revenues declined by 3% to $5.72bn.
