US-based full-service restaurant chain Denny’s has partnered with Amazon Restaurants to offer food delivery to customers.

The restaurant has added Amazon Restaurants to its third party delivery service providers’ portfolio through its On Demand platform.

Both the platforms are connected through Olo Rails, which is an application programming interface (API) for restaurant operators to easily list their menus on third-party marketplaces.

As part of this deal, Amazon Prime members can place orders from their nearest Denny’s location, which will be delivered through Amazon Flex delivery partners.

“Delivery has become increasingly important and the addition of Amazon Restaurants brings another delivery option to our platform.”

Denny’s chief marketing officer John Dillon said: “Our Denny’s On Demand platform continues to grow, both in use by our guests and in the ways that it is delivering convenience across the country.

“As our guests continue to seek convenient ways to enjoy their Denny’s favourites, delivery has become increasingly important and the addition of Amazon Restaurants brings another delivery option to our platform.

Introduced in May 2017, Denny’s On Demand has served more than three million orders to date across all channels.

In addition to Amazon Restaurants, Denny’s allows customers to place orders through its app, website, Amazon Alexa and other third party providers.

The restaurant chain operates 1,735 franchised, licensed, and company restaurants as of December last year including 128 restaurants in Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, New Zealand, Honduras, the Philippines, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, the UAE, Guatemala, and the UK.
