US-based operator of craft beer-focused casual dining restaurants CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries has purchased casual dining steakhouse chain Logan’s Roadhouse.

The deal will see both companies merge to create a new restaurant company called CraftWorks Holdings, with a network of more than 390 restaurants and breweries in 40 states and the District of Columbia.

Logan’s Roadhouse CEO Hazem Ouf will lead CraftWorks Holdings as chairman and CEO.

Ouf said: “I am excited to lead the new combined enterprise under the umbrella of Craftworks Holdings, and I look forward to leveraging our combined capabilities to deliver unique and memorable dining experiences.

“Our cumulative restaurant industry experience will allow us to drive excellence in service and quality within a scalable full-service dining platform.”

“Our name ‘CraftWorks’ reflects the spirit and high quality of ‘Crafted Signature Food & Beverage’ and our passion for serving our brands, guests, team members and our communities.

“We believe that our cumulative restaurant industry experience, the company’s extensive infrastructure, and the financial strength of our investors will allow us to drive excellence in service and quality within a scalable full-service dining platform.”
