US steakhouse chain Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group stated it expects consolidated revenues between $124.3m and $124.7m for the fourth quarter ending 25 December 2018.

This represents around a 24.2% increase from the $100.4m achieved during the same period in 2017.

The increase in revenues was driven by $34.3m in contributions from Barcelona Wine Bar and Bartaco brands acquired by the company in late June last year.

Del Frisco’s also expects a 0.2% increase in total comparable restaurant sales for Q4 2018, including 1.9% for its Barcelona Wine Bar and 1.6% for the Bartaco brand.

“Slightly positive comparable restaurant sales during the fourth quarter reflected weaker trends in November than October as we rolled over new menu launches.”

The company anticipates a 0.8% increase of comparable restaurant sales for its Del Frisco’s Grille brand as well as a 0.1% increase for its Double Eagle brand.

Del Frisco’s CEO Norman Abdallah said: “Slightly positive comparable restaurant sales during the fourth quarter reflected weaker trends in November than October as we rolled over new menu launches and marketing support from 2017 but an upswing in December has encouragingly carried over year-to-date in 2019 across all four brands.

“Similar to the third quarter, Double Eagle’s comparable restaurant sales primarily reflected sales transfer from the Boston Double Eagle to the new Boston Back Bay Double Eagle, and would have increased 1.5% excluding this planned sales transfer.

“Private dining sales during the fourth quarter at Double Eagle and Grille rose 8.9% and 13.8% on a comparable basis, respectively, reflecting the strength of the business customer despite volatile capital markets as we effectively marketed our improved banquet menu offerings and focused on ensuring a flawless experience from beginning to end.”

The company also opened a Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse restaurant in San Diego, California, two Bartaco restaurants in Fort Point, Massachusetts and Dallas, Texas and two Del Frisco’s Grille restaurants including one in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
