UK-based online food delivery company Deliveroo has expanded further into Australia to reach an additional 1.5 million customers.

The 16 new zones include Hobart, Newcastle, Cairns and Melbourne, as well as Sydney, covering Bankstown, Five Dock, Campsie, Hornsby and Narrabeen, reported Business Insider.

“Since entering the Australian market only three years ago, the company has received an overwhelmingly positive response.”

Deliveroo Australia country manager Levi Aron was quoted by foodservicenews.com.au as saying: “This expansion is an important milestone in what has been a year of strong growth in the Australian market.

“Since entering the Australian market only three years ago, the company has received an overwhelmingly positive response from restaurants, riders and customers alike.

“We look forward to continuing to bring Deliveroo to an even greater number of customers throughout Australia while providing flexible, well-paid work to even more riders, and generating new revenue streams for our restaurant partners.”
