Emirates Group subsidiary Dubai National Air Transpart Association (dnata) has appointed Stephen Templeton as its global culinary head for international catering division.

The company has created this new position as part of expansion of its catering leadership team increasing its more than 9,000 catering employees.

Templeton will oversee the company’s food presentations, hospitality, kitchen design and product development operations.

Prior to dnata, Templeton served as the culinary director of UK-based hospitality group Rhubarb Food Design.

He also worked in various executive roles in resorts and hotels such as Mount Nelson Hotel, Sun City Resort and Casino, Spier Wine Estate and Resort in South Africa, Harrods of London and The Great Eastern Hotel in the UK.

Templeton said: “Having spent the past month getting to know the business, I’ve been hugely impressed with the diversity and authenticity across our kitchens and our ability to innovate.
