DoorDash has expanded its food delivery services to Alaska, Montana and South Dakota, US.

The expansion marks DoorDash’s entry into all 50 US states and more than 3,300 cities across North America.

The service is now available in Anchorage, Alaska, Billings, Bozeman and Missoula, Montana, as well as Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

DoorDash CEO and co-founder Tony Xu said: “We’re proud to be the first on-demand platform to offer food delivery in all 50 states.

“In the past year alone we’ve more than quintupled our geographic footprint from 600 to 3,300 cities across North America, democratising access to door-to-door delivery for hundreds of millions of Americans across the nation.”

The online delivery firm has also expanded its presence in Fargo, North Dakota, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Morgantown and Huntington, West Virginia.

As part of the launch, the company is offering a $1.00 delivery service special offer to customers placing orders from the new cities in this next month. The deal is available for orders costing more than $15.00.

Customers in these areas can place orders from major brands such as Wendy’s, Chick-fil-A, and Chipotle, as well as local brands such as Dipper Donuts, Red Tractor Pizza and Izumi Sushi.

Last week, the online delivery firm signed a partnership to test food and grocery deliveries using Cruise Automation’s driverless vehicles.

DoorDash plans to use Cruise Automation’s autonomous vehicles for test deliveries. The pilot will initially focus on the San Francisco market, starting this year.
