Investment firm EJT Holdings, together with OrderSolutions, has announced the acquisition of a Starbucks location in Lewistown, Montana, US.

The new-concept Starbucks location is completely digital and will serve call-in, pickup, walk-up and drive-thru orders.

It is the second Starbucks acquisition for EJT Holdings and OrderSolutions.

OrderSolutions managing director Justin Tubis said: “We are thrilled to work with Starbucks on our second location after the success of our relationship in the Hilton Head market.

“This is a one-of-kind Starbucks with a small footprint allowing for omni-channel ordering, and we are looking forward to serving the community with this amazing concept store.”

OrderSolutions is a restaurant call centre that has expertise in centralising and streamlining phone orders for restaurant brands.

It offers a large number of off-premise order takers to assist with call-in orders, enabling in-store staff to focus on serving guests on site.

The relationship between EJT Holdings, OrderSolutions, and Starbucks provides a glimpse of the off-premise future that the restaurant industry will adapt to.

Restaurant companies such as Del Taco, Chick-Fil-A, Denny’s, Famous Dave’s and City BBQ are said to have been benefiting by shifting their focus to off-premise services.

OrderSolutions co-founder Nick Tubis said: “We have recently conducted a national survey of restaurant executives, and results show that many restaurants are missing up to 50% of their phone orders due to staffing challenges.

“The average check size of the typical fast-casual restaurant is approximately $45 and many national chains are missing thousands of these orders a day, leading to millions of dollars in lost revenue across their brands.”

In July, OrderSolutions partnered with digital food ordering platform Olo to help restaurants grow their takeout business.

Under this partnership, the two companies agreed to focus on placing to-go phone orders for restaurants.
