US-based fast-casual restaurant concept Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has unveiled plans to open 50 new locations across Florida and the southeast.

The chain has signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with multi-unit operators RSolution to open new restaurants in the region over the next few years.

The partnership follows RSolution’s purchase of the brand’s Florida locations in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Ocala last year.

RSolution principal Gary Grewe said: “After purchasing several existing locations in Florida, we saw firsthand how well the state’s dual demographic resonated with the concept and didn’t hesitate to expand our partnership with a larger multi-unit deal.

“Freddy’s shares our commitment to prioritising our team members and guests above all else, and we’re very excited to be a part of the growth of this terrific brand.”

As part of the agreement with RSolution, Freddy’s will expand its presence in the Florida west coast and panhandle. The chain is currently developing restaurants in Pensacola and Tampa with plans to launch next year.

Last year, the chain opened its first international location at the Dubai Mall in the UAE.
