US-based fast food restaurant chain MOD Super Fast Pizza Holdings has launched a new customer loyalty programme, MOD Rewards.

MOD Rewards allows customers to earn points toward free menu items, the restaurant chain is in collaboration with Generosity Feeds where customers can choose to pay their reward forward.

MOD Pizza will make a donation to Generosity Feeds to help provide meals to children struggling with food insecurity.

The move is part of the company’s plans to accelerate its digital ordering channels in an effort to make the brand more accessible to customers.

Customers can earn points toward free menu items through the new customer loyalty programme that is powered by the MOD app.

The company will offer one point towards a reward for every dollar spent using the MOD Rewards programme.

“Customers are doing more with their phones, and our new app will make the company more accessible to our guests, while allowing us to reward them for their loyalty.”

The pizza chain used a new CRM system to offer more personalisation and frequency to its first loyalty programme.

MOD digital vice-president Kevin Flaherty said: “Customers are doing more with their phones, and our new app will make the company more accessible to our guests, while allowing us to reward them for their loyalty.

“With just a few taps, it’s easy to build a customised pizza or salad, select a convenient pick-up time and make a payment.

“The app enables customers to order ahead easily by keeping track of their favourites, and rewards can be earned across platforms including the app, online orders or by scanning a store receipt.”

In January this year, the pizza chain named Mark Shambura as its new chief marketing officer (CMO).

In his new role, Shambura is responsible for the company’s overall brand and marketing strategy for over 400 locations across the US and UK.
