RAVE Restaurant Group subsidiary Pizza Inn has signed an area development agreement with its franchisee Tony Nemer to open six new locations in Kansas and Oklahoma, US.

As part of the deal, Nemer will open the first of the six planned locations in Stillwater, Oklahoma, in October.

Following this, the remaining locations will open in Arkansas City, Kansas, and Enid, Blackwell, Perry and Tonkawa in Oklahoma.

RAVE Restaurant Group president Bob Bafundo said: “We are excited to have Tony lead the way into some new markets for Pizza Inn. Tony has an incredible success story.

“He started his career with Pizza Inn as a dishwasher at the Bethany, Oklahoma location. Eight years ago, he opened the Ponca City location as a franchisee.

“He’s a strong operator and lives the culture of Pizza Inn every day, so I know that these new locations will experience the same raving success.”

Nemer previously served as an operating partner at the Pizza Inn location in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and currently owns Golden Chick restaurants in Ponca City and Stillwater.

In addition, Nemer will introduce the Pizza Inn Neighborhood Model prototype at three of the six new restaurants.

The prototype will feature more than 40 menu choices on its buffet and salad bar.

Nemer said: “The new Pizza Inn Neighborhood Model allowed me to commit to a larger-scale development deal with Pizza Inn.

“With a price point under $500,000, it was a great investment for me and is more ideal for some of the smaller markets that we will be building in. Oklahomans have been demanding more of Pizza Inn, so I’m really excited to bring America’s Hometown Pizza Place to smaller towns where we can be an integral part of the community.”

Established in 1958, Pizza Inn offers speciality pizzas, along with pastas, sandwiches and desserts to its customers.

Last month, Pizza Inn deployed Thrive point-of-sale (POS) system from Granbury Solutions to streamline its operations.

RAVE Group currently owns and franchises more than 250 Pizza Inn and Pie Five restaurants domestically and internationally.
