Mobile and online technology provider Preoday has established a partnership with UK-based electronic point of sale (EPOS) systems distributor Softabacus to integrate its order management system.

As part of the deal, both companies will offer the integrated technologies to new and existing customers in the Chinese catering area.

Preoday CEO Nick Hucker said: “At Preoday we choose to work with market leading businesses who are specialists in their market. In Softabacus we see a company who is just that, with a breadth of experience and well respected in their industry.

“Together we see an opportunity to help clients provide a digital ordering service that is commission-free and gives them access to the data they need to grow their business.”

The companies have roped in Chinese restaurant chain 288 Bar & Wok to use the integrated technologies.

Customers can place orders through the restaurant’s mobile app or on its website, which will be sent to Softabacus ordering system.

The integration will allow the restaurant to manage remote orders and keep all financial data at one place.

Softabacus managing director Martin Man said: “Preoday provides a service that has become essential for Chinese foodservice operators and caterers. We are delighted to work with them to guarantee clients have access to a first-class ordering technology that works with our EPoS solutions.

“We have launched some new product updates to our software like pay-on-entry for large buffet restaurants and driver management software for delivery; digital ordering is now the perfect addition to allow our clients to deliver first-class experiences.”

Earlier this year, EPOS solutions firm Casio partnered with Preoday and payment services provider Paymentsense to introduce a new all-in-one technology bundle for independent quick service restaurants (QSR) and fast food operators.

This solution will assist operators to establish brand loyalty, control valuable customer data, and reduce the costs incurred on third-party delivery services.
