
India-based quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain Bird Foods, which is part of the Bird group, aims to operate 100 outlets in the country by 2028, as reported by The Economic Times.
It plans to begin expanding from its current 23 outlets by June 2025.
Bird Foods chief business officer Rahul Sehgal stated: “We are leasing space at high-traffic locations like malls, highways, airports and railway stations.”
The company’s growth plan includes new openings at Radisson Dwarka’s Dwarka Walk food court with a menu featuring Mughlai, Chaat, Biryani, Kebabs, Kochina/Chinese Sizzlers and Millbowls.
Bird Foods is also set to launch outlets at the Advant Business Park in Noida by May 2025 and the Unity One mall in West Delhi by mid-June.
The company is in advanced discussions to establish food courts along the Delhi-Mumbai and Yamuna Expressways.

Bird Foods currently operates 13 outlets under five brands.
Indian Stories has a presence in five locations, including Pebble Downtown Mall, Faridabad and the Mall of Dehradun.
Kaching features three hybrid-model outlets at DT Mega Mall and Epica Mall.
Spice Nama, a vegetarian brand, is located at Omax Mall, Chandni Chowk, with a franchise set for Tughlaqabad metro station.
The company has also introduced Freddo Coffee at Tughlaqabad and operates food courts under the brand Eat.co outside Lucknow airport.
Bird Foods also manages Bird Lounges at airports in Bhubaneswar, Dehradun and Calicut, and has recently partnered with Air India for business class lounge access in Calicut.
The company is exploring opportunities in Tier 2 cities such as Raipur and is in talks for outlet openings at IKEA Gurgaon.
Bird Foods is collaborating with SmartQ (Compass Group) to introduce tech-enabled food courts in universities and hospitals, and operates a 24-hour food plaza at Old Delhi railway station, as well as bidding for lounge operations at Patna’s new airport terminal and investigating retail opportunities in Uttar Pradesh bus station.
Bird Foods reported a revenue of Rs350m ($4.1m) in FY25 and is projected to reach Rs600m during 2025.
