US-based chicken chain Zaxby’s has announced its inaugural location in Phoenix, Arizona.

The new establishment, situated at 37756 N Gantzel Road, will offer dine-in and drive-through services from 13 August 2025.

Arizona is the second state the chain has entered in 2025, following a recent launch in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Owned by Brian and Jessica Nelson of BOCKBOCK, the Phoenix Zaxby’s location is celebrating its launch by offering the first 100 visitors on opening day free meals for six months.

Menu options include the Big Zax Snak Meal, 5 Chicken Fingerz, Zaxby’s Signature Sandwich and Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries.

The 3,000ft² restaurant in Phoenix will feature kerbside pickup, dual drive-through and seating for 56 guests.

Zaxby’s chief operating officer Sharlene Smith stated: “Following the tremendous success of our Las Vegas opening, we’re proud to announce Zaxby’s newest location in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Thanks to the dedication of our franchise partners, Brian and Jessica Nelson, we’re accelerating our growth out West and continuing to introduce Zaxby’s famous Fingerz and signature sauces to new fans across the country.”

The chain’s menu is known for its Chicken Fingerz and wings, alongside offerings such as Fried Pickles, a variety of Zalads, and milkshakes topped with real whipped cream and a cherry.

The Nelsons plan more Zaxbys locations in Phoenix shortly. The construction of this first outlet was carried out by Marsh Development and is expected to create up to 70 new jobs.
