UK coffee chain Costa Coffee has announced the reopening of its newly refurbished store on Chelmsford High Street.

This redesigned store features a contemporary interior with a refined colour palette, ambient lighting and creative design details such as abstract, coffee-inspired artwork.

The store’s versatile environment offers a range of seating options, from booths to lounge chairs for solo coffee breaks, and accommodates remote working and social meetups.

Costa states that the transformation elevates comfort, service, and community connection.

The refreshed store is part of Costa Coffee’s “commitment to innovation and delivering memorable moments, both in the quality of the coffee and the spaces it provides.

At the heart of the experience remains its handcrafted coffee, prepared by its baristas, and its Mocha Italia Signature taste.

Costa Coffee area manager Justine Jackson stated: “We’re thrilled to welcome customers back to our newly renovated Chelmsford High Street store.

“This transformation is about creating a space that feels both fresh and familiar, where everyone can enjoy their favourite handcrafted coffee in a modern, relaxed setting. We’re excited to share it with the local community.”

In July 2025, Costa Coffee reopened its outlet at Glasgow Fort shopping centre after completing a refurbishment.

The updated store features a modern design with a newly positioned coffee bar, facilitating better customer movement and enhancing the overall experience.
