Subway has announced the appointment of new presidents for its regional operations to expedite growth.

With this move, the restaurant brand aims to improve profitability for franchisees while focusing on customer experience.

Damien Harmon has been designated as the president for North America. He brings more than two decades of experience in operations and customer service, having most recently worked as senior executive vice-president at Best Buy.

Before joining Subway, Harmon held senior roles at Bridgestone Americas, including as GCR Commercial Tires president and Bridgestone Retail Operations’ chief operating officer. He also gained international experience in China and Turkey.

Tracy Gehlan will take on the role of president for the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. She has experience in franchise operations, with a background that includes senior positions at Hertz Global Holdings, Smashburger and Burger King.

Artemio Garza has been appointed as the president for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) regions.

With 20 years in franchising and quick-service restaurants (QSR), Garza previously served as chief growth officer at Renuity and has held leadership roles in the franchise sector. He also owns a bakery-bistro in Monterrey, Mexico.
