
US-based fast casual seafood chain Captain D’s has opened its first location in Ocala, Florida.
The new restaurant is located at 2510 SW 27th Avenue, Unit 101, within a newly built shopping centre at the intersection of College Road and I-75.

Franchisee Toks Achebe will operate the Ocala site with business partner Wanda Davis.
Achebe stated: “We are excited to bring Captain D’s to Ocala. This community is growing rapidly and has all the ingredients for success – a strong local economy, great visibility, and a population that appreciates high-quality seafood served in a welcoming environment. We are ready to open our doors and become part of the neighbourhood.”
Achebe and Davis also manage a Captain D’s in Palatka and are in the process of developing a third location in Gainesville, set to open in late 2025.
The new 2,100ft² Ocala restaurant accommodates 30 diners and also features a drive-through.

Captain D’s menu includes batter-dipped fish, chicken tenders, Nashville hot fish and breaded shrimp, along with grilled salmon and chicken, served with Southern-style sides.
