Given that both platforms handle around two million orders daily, this adjustment is likely to have a notable impact on their financial performance.
The adjustment represents Swiggy’s third increase in platform fees in a short time, having previously raised fees around Independence Day on 15 August 2025 before reverting to Rs12.
Zomato has been steadily increasing its platform fees since they were first introduced in early 2025.
