Operated by the chain’s managing partner Eric Derrico, the 3,490ft² site can accommodate 112 customers.

Derrico stated: “It’s exciting to open Palm Harbor’s first Metro Diner. Many guests are already familiar with our craveable offerings, having visited other locations, and they’re as thrilled as we are to now have a Metro Diner in their community.

“I fell in love with Metro Diner when I first ate at the original location in Jacksonville, Florida, and jumped at the chance to get on board as soon as I heard they were expanding.”

Metro Diner is known for an all-day menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes, including omelettes and breakfast platters, speciality burgers made with 100% Angus beef and BBQ ribs.

The Palm Harbor location will operate from 7am to 3pm every day, with plans to introduce dinner service.

Its Fried Chicken & Waffle pairs half a fried chicken with a Belgian waffle, strawberry butter and the chain’s sweet-and-spicy sauce.

Derrico said: “This flavour combination is unbeatable, and the homemade strawberry butter is top tier.”

In July 2025, Metro Diner unveiled the opening of two additional US venues, one in St Johns, Florida, and the other in Indian Land, South Carolina.
