AI-driven communications provider Hostie has integrated with restaurant tech company OpenTable, helping restaurants using both systems to automate diner interactions through AI voice technology.
The integration enables Hostie’s virtual concierge to interface with OpenTable’s reservation platform, allowing restaurants to offer multilingual guest support while cutting down on manual tasks.

Businesses can now accept reservation requests via voice and text in more than 20 languages.
OpenTable chief technology officer Sagar Mehta stated: “As restaurants increasingly embrace voice AI to streamline operations and better manage demand, our partnership with Hostie strengthens OpenTable’s ability to offer solutions that meet the unique needs of every business.”
Restaurants can synchronise booking information automatically and receive immediate alerts for special requests, private events and urgent ordering or reservation needs.
Other capabilities are sending targeted texts to advertise OpenTable experiences and special events, and capturing live interaction transcripts to reveal guest preferences and requests.

Hostie began with a 2024 pilot involving five restaurants and has expanded to support more than 200 locations across New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and other key locations.
In July 2025, OpenTable integrated with Tonic POS, a restaurant point-of-sale solutions provider, to streamline restaurant operations.
