US-based Love & Honey Fried Chicken has opened its first franchised location, located in Newtown, Bucks County in the US state of Pennsylvania.

The restaurant, at 2820 South Eagle Road, is owned and operated by local franchisees Kanay and Dev Patel and Kush Amin.

Love & Honey Fried Chicken CEO and co-founder Laura Lyons stated: “Our goal has always been to create a place where great food and genuine hospitality come together.

“We take pride in every detail — from the chicken to the service — and we’re thrilled to have Kanay, Dev and Kush carrying that same vision forward in Newtown.”

The chain’s menu includes buttermilk fried chicken, banana pudding, Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, chicken wings and tater tots, accompanied by signature sauces.

Co-founded by husband and wife Todd and Laura Lyons, Love & Honey Fried Chicken launched its first restaurant in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties in 2017.

In February 2023, the owners announced plans to franchise the concept and within weeks secured a franchisee, Nafee Hossain, to open a University City, Philadelphia site.

The brand’s fried chicken is not processed, pounded or pre-frozen. It is dredged by hand, fried in small batches and finished with a drizzle of honey.

Open every day from 11am to 9pm, the new outlet provides dine-in, takeout and delivery options. It also offers catering service for local offices, schools and hospitals.
