Payment technology and software solution provider Global Payments has named Uber Eats as its preferred delivery partner.
The company is integrating the food delivery platform into its Genius point-of-sale (POS) system for restaurant customers in the US and Canada.

Uber Delivery US and Canada head and vice-president Jose Garcia Pimentel stated: “Our deep integration with the powerful and feature-rich Genius platform aims to help make launching and accessing the benefits of Uber Eats faster and easier than ever.
“We are thrilled to work with Global Payments to help restaurants deliver an exceptional customer experience and grow their businesses.”
Restaurants using the Genius POS will be able to connect to Uber Eats directly from within the system through a self-service onboarding process.
Once integrated, orders placed via Uber Eats, along with any changes or cancellations, will update automatically in the Genius POS.

By GlobalDataGlobal Payments’ camera vision system, part of the Genius platform, is designed to match each vehicle to its corresponding order.

Drive-through coffee chain 7 Brew recently selected the Genius platform to manage ordering and back-of-house processes.
The tie-up between 7 Brew and Global Payments is intended to back the coffee chain’s expansion.
