The Bengaluru store features the brand’s standard menu, centred on freshly baked bagels, a range of spreads, sandwiches, desserts and coffee-based drinks.

The outlet features Bagelstein’s usual European-inspired design.

The latest launch is part of the company’s wider expansion strategy in India, which targets a network of 100 outlets by 2029 across key metropolitan markets such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Bagelstein Bengaluru area developer Ravish Malhotra said: “Bengaluru’s vibrant food scene is perfect for our bagels, an emerging disruptive snack category. From Hyderabad to Delhi and now Bengaluru, we’re toasting bold flavours and building a cult following.”

The brand made its India debut last year with a store at Nexus Mall in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, offering items such as the Halloumi Bagel and the Josephine Bagel along with smoothies, iced teas and coffee.

The Hyderabad launch was followed by an outlet in Delhi.

The company’s growth comes amid a steady expansion of India’s café and casual dining segment, supported by younger consumers’ growing inclination towards Western-style food and beverage choices.

Industry estimates cited by Entrepreneur India indicate that the café segment is expanding at an annual rate of 15%-20%, with Bengaluru identified as a prominent market for experience-focused dining formats.

Founded in Strasbourg in 2011, Bagelstein has a presence across France, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
