Encalm Hospitality has entered the in-flight catering segment with the launch of Encalm Skyplates.
The move expands the company’s aviation hospitality portfolio beyond airport lounges and related services, as it seeks to provide integrated passenger experiences across airport and in-flight touch points, reported The Economic Times TravelWorld.

Encalm Skyplates is positioned as a platform for large-scale catering production and distribution. It is intended to support both domestic and international flight operations.
The company said the platform will focus on process-led execution, food safety systems and consistent delivery across key aviation hubs.
Encalm Hospitality Group CEO Vikas Sharma was quoted as saying: “With Encalm Skyplates, we are redefining the boundaries of airport hospitality by taking our signature excellence from the lounge to the aircraft cabin.
“In-flight catering is a high-stakes environment where precision must meet passion. Our goal is to bridge the gap between ground and air, ensuring that the premium experience a traveller starts with at the terminal continues seamlessly at 30,000ft.
“Skyplates isn’t just about dining; it’s about elevating the entire passenger journey through consistent, world-class service.”
Encalm said Skyplates will offer curated menus developed by culinary teams. The menu strategy will include international formats alongside regional preferences.
The platform will also be supported by a “dedicated logistics network” for aircraft-side delivery.
Encalm Skyplates chief operating officer Abraham Pothen said: “Skyplates is being built as a high-performance, systems-led catering platform where sustainability and accountability are at the core.
“Every element of this platform, from energy-conscious infrastructure and optimised production systems to responsible sourcing and waste reduction, is designed with long-term environmental responsibility in mind.”
Last month, Bluspring Enterprises announced its entry into aviation catering by acquiring the entire shareholding of LSG Sky Chefs (India).
