SSP America is opening six new restaurants at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in Maricopa County, Arizona, US.
The new facilities will be built at the airport’s John S. McCain III Terminal 3 as part of the gateway’s $590m modernisation programme. It also complements SSP America’s ten-year contract signed in 2013 to commence operations at PHX’s Terminal 4.
The new Original ChopShop, Überrito Fresh Mex and The Habit Burger Grill restaurants will be located in the post-security lobby, while Tarbell’s Tavern and Christopher’s will be built at the south entrance and Peet’s Coffee will be accessible from the ticketing lobby.
SSP America business development vice-president Scott Welding said: “SSP America is proud to be opening our newest collection of award-winning restaurants featuring so many local culinary heroes.
“Sense of place, taste of place and commitment to the community combined with an optimum choice for the passenger and exceptional customer service are the hallmarks of SSP America’s new contract with PHX.”
Established in 2013, Original ChopShop offers salads, sandwiches, juices and protein shakes, while Überrito Fresh Mex menu features a range of burritos, salads and nachos. Tarbell’s Tavern serves wine, while Christopher’s offers handcrafted cocktails, international brews and wines.
