American online grocery delivery service Peapod has partnered with two US restaurants, Big Bowl and Wildfire, to expand its meal kit line with the launch of three new recipes.
Wildfire and Big Bowl are brands of Chicago-based Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises restaurant group. Big Bowl offers Chinese and Thai cuisine, whereas Wildfire is a steakhouse offering chops and seafood.
The three recipes include Wildfire beef tenderloin with couscous, Wildfire BBQ bison meatloaf, mashed potatoes and caramelised onions and Big Bowl sweet and sour chicken.
Prepared by Wildfire and Big Bowl chefs, the three meal kits are available in two and four serving sizes for home delivery in Chicago, New York and Washington, DC markets.
Peapod merchandising senior vice-president Spencer Baird said: “As the demand for meal kits continues to increase, we are thrilled to collaborate with restaurants like Wildfire and Big Bowl.
“It was a natural progression to work with trusted and popular restaurants based right here in Peapod’s hometown of Chicago, and we are excited for our customers to be able to make these delicious recipes right at home.”
