Steakhouse restaurant chain Ruth’s Chris has named Cheryl Henry as its president and chief executive officer (CEO).

Henry will assume her new role at the US-based chain and will also be appointed to the board of directors from 10 August this year.

Currently serving as president and chief operating officer, Henry succeeds the company’s current CEO Michael O’Donnell who will serve as the company’s executive chairman.

In June 2007, Henry started her career with the company and served in various departments. These include culinary, beverage, brand marketing, real estate development, human resources and information technology, overseeing daily field operations.
