US-based foodservice company Aramark has partnered with food company JUST to introduce the plant-based JUST Egg product to corporate, healthcare and higher education cafes.
A team of chefs from the food company have developed the new product with sustainable ingredients that are free of cholesterol, dairy, and artificial flavours.
Aramark product development head Heidi Hogan said: “As part of our commitment to developing healthier and sustainable menus, we’re continuously looking for new ways to bring-to-market innovative products.
“Expanding our menu offerings to include JUST Egg further speaks to our promise to deliver healthy recipes that not only feature quality ingredients, but taste good, too.”
Starting 22 October, the foodservice firm will offer the egg breakfast patty for a limited time to customers at its select corporate and hospital cafes and college campus food courts.
JUST co-founder and CEO Josh Tetrick said: “Launching JUST Egg is a major milestone and we’re thrilled to have Aramark as one of our first global foodservice providers to help us expand our reach and further our mission in bringing food that’s not only delicious but healthier and more sustainable to a larger audience.”
Aramark offers catering services to various customers including sports teams, healthcare providers, educational institutions, destinations and cultural attractions in 19 countries globally.
