Elior Group’s global concession catering brand Areas has secured a contract to offer its services at seven new points of sale in Malaga airport for eight years.

The company has been offering its services at two new points of sale in the Spanish airport since 2009.

As part of the deal, the caterer will operate various food and beverage choices such as three Carte d’Or craft ice cream bars; two MasQMenos locations with a focus on beer, ham and tapas; premium sushi bar Kirei, which will provide haute Japanese cuisine; and Bibo Flamenco Bar&Tapas.

Areas worldwide CEO Oscar Vela said: “The Areas team couldn’t be happier to have been awarded this contract.

“We want this airport to be a culinary reference where passengers leave with memories of tasty food.”

“We presented a balanced proposal that included nationally and internationally famous brands like MasQMenos and Carte d’Or, and a consolidated brand like Kirei, a prestigious concept we already successfully operate at the Madrid and Ibiza airports.

“We are very proud of our new collaboration with Dani García, a chef of international standing who will delight travellers stopping in Malaga. We want this airport to be a culinary reference where passengers leave with memories of tasty food.”
