Family dining franchise Black Bear Diner has expanded its US footprint with the opening of three new locations, two in Texas and one in Arizona.  

On 17 April 2024, the brand unveiled a company-owned diner at 2424 Creekview Drive Ste 150 in Waco, Texas. This 4,560ft² site can seat 145 people.

The second opening took place on 16 April at 5235 North Sunland Gin Rd in Eloy, Arizona. This establishment, owned and operated by TravelCenters of America (TA), covers 6,461ft² and can accommodate 143 guests.

The third diner also opened in April and is located at 4817 I-35 in New Braunfels, Texas. Also TA-owned, it occupies 4,789ft² and offers 178 seats.

The new diners feature building modifications and design enhancements aimed at streamlining takeout and delivery services without compromising the dine-in experience.

These include the addition of an exterior delivery and pick-up window to facilitate the handling of off-premise orders.

Black Bear Diner now operates 159 locations, with 14 outlets more set to open in 2024.

In August 2023, the chain launched a new diner in Tonopah, Arizona, marking the eighth joint venture with franchise partner TravelCenters of America.
