Chef Modou Diagne is set to open his second restaurant in Glasgow. TRUST by Modou will serve a five-course dining offer.
Located at 1132 Argyle Street in the Finnieston area, Scotland, the menu is priced at £30 ($40.50) per person.
Diagne’s first restaurant, 111 by Modou, was acquired from his mentor, chef Nico Simeone.
Modou Diagne stated: “This is the restaurant I’ve always dreamed of. TRUST is about more than just great food — it’s about connection, surprise and giving people a reason to come back not just for a dish, but for a feeling.
“I want people to walk through the door, let go of control and simply enjoy what we’ve cooked and prepared for them in that moment.”
Hailing from Senegal, Diagne faced a challenging first year on arrival in Glasgow, dealing with unemployment and homelessness. His break came when he applied for a kitchen porter position at Six by Nico.

By GlobalDataUnder the guidance of chef Simeone, he honed his culinary skills and rose from kitchen porter to head chef.
Simeone, who was the force behind 111, decided to hand over the reins to Diagne in 2015 after six years of partnership, according to The National.
Diagne rebranded the establishment to 111 by Modou, and now, with the launch of TRUST, continues to offer a menu focusing on seasonal flavours and ingredients.
