Fast-casual restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick has signed agreements with six new franchisees to extend its presence in the Midwest region of the US. 

These agreements will introduce the brand to Michigan and Minnesota while increasing outlets in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas and Oklahoma.

The agreements involve a group of franchise partners. Caitlin and Michael Becker will lead the expansion in Lafayette, Indiana, Jesse Koontz and Toni Siprut will lead in Chicago, Illinois, and Cindy Sulzman and Jo Anne and Kirk Williams are set to introduce the brand to Kansas City, Kansas. 

Troy Morrison, the company’s largest multi-unit franchisee, will expand further in Oklahoma and Kansas through his Meauxmentum Strategies & Investments. 

The McKaes are set to open their first Michigan branch in the autumn of 2025 while  Mandy and Mike Boogerd will launch the state’s inaugural Chicken Salad Chick outlet in Minnesota.

During the initial six months of 2025, Chicken Salad Chick marked a series of new restaurant launches nationwide. The company is also working on the development of dozens more locations. 

 The company’s franchise expansion team has pinpointed Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Wisconsin as key states for expansion. 

In 2024, Chicken Salad Chick reported a system-wide sales figure above $394.2m – a 38% increase over the previous year.  

The brand’s average unit volume hit $1.5m – a record – according to the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). 

In September 2024, Chicken Salad Chick further bolstered its footprint in Texas by opening its first restaurant in Mansfield.  

Established in 2008 in Auburn, Alabama, Chicken Salad Chick now operates 307 locations in 22 US states.
