US-based fast casual restaurant Chicken Salad Chick has expanded its dessert offerings with the introduction of a new Red Velvet cake, now available across all its locations.

This latest addition to the menu comes after the successful launch of the brand’s first-ever cake, the White Chocolate Layer cake, in 2024.

The Red Velvet cake, which is set to be a permanent feature on the menu until the end of the year, boasts three layers of red velvet, frosted with cream cheese icing.

With the brand’s focus on the Southern hospitality, the cakes are prepared at Chicken Salad Chick’s craft bakery based in Atlanta, a former small-batch bakeshop with over four decades of baking expertise, which the brand acquired to bolster its dessert category.

Chicken Salad Chick chief marketing officer Tom Carr said: “The overwhelmingly positive response to our White Chocolate Layer cake made it clear that our guests were ready for even more delicious ways to enjoy Chicken Salad Chick.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Red Velvet cake, a true Southern classic that reflects our brand’s roots and gives guests another sweet reason to visit.”
