Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is set to open a new restaurant in Airdrie, Alberta, as the US-based barbecue chain continues to build its presence in Canada.
The outlet at 400 Main Street North, Airdrie is scheduled to begin trading in December 2025.

Franchise owner Jamal Kayani stated: “Opening in Airdrie is a tremendous opportunity.
“We’re excited to bring real Texas barbecue to Alberta, where good food, strong community and spirited hospitality go hand in hand. Our team is ready to serve the neighbours, families and friends who crave bold flavour and genuine connection.”
The latest opening follows a succession of Dickey’s sites launched in Canada as part of the brand’s broader international expansion.
Between January and August 2025, the company added 46 locations across 17 US states, Canada and the Philippines.

By GlobalDataIn September, it revealed plans to open more than 60 additional outlets by the end of the year, taking its systemwide total to more than 400 restaurants globally.
Dickey’s Capital Group CEO Roland Dickey Jr stated: “Canada has proven to be an outstanding market for Dickey’s.
“With each Canadian opening, we’re not just expanding our footprint, we’re expanding our legacy. Dickey’s resonates here because the values of family, community and great barbecue are truly universal.”
The new location will serve a menu including smoked brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs, smoked chicken, alongside traditional southern-style side dishes such as macaroni cheese, barbecue beans and fried okra.
The Airdrie restaurant will operate with dine-in, takeaway, delivery and catering services.
