
Five Guys is set to enter the UK and European airports market with a new restaurant at Heathrow Terminal 5 in the second half of 2025.
The burger chain’s expansion into Heathrow signifies a significant milestone and the initiation of a new partnership.
Located on the upper level of Terminal 5, the 2,500ft² unit is strategically placed to serve 90 covers, with dine-in and takeaway options.
The new venture will create between 80 and 100 jobs.
Five Guys UK CEO John Eckbert stated: “We are thrilled to be opening a brand new Five Guys at Heathrow Terminal 5 this year.
“Having opened over 170 restaurants across the UK since we first launched back in 2013, the brand has established itself as one of the nation’s favourites for premium burgers. Now Five Guys is cementing itself at the UK’s busiest travel hub; we are excited to be providing our delicious menu to travellers as part of their journeys.”

By GlobalDataOperating from the first to the last flights of the day, the restaurant will offer a variety of menu options, including daytime and breakfast selections.
The Heathrow Five Guys will feature a dedicated Welcome Host to greet customers, enhancing the dining experience.
It will incorporate design enhancements, including an increased number of ordering kiosks available in six languages and travel-friendly features for airport patrons.
The brand is collaborating with Heathrow to sync with the airport’s retail strategy, which focuses on its digital, experience, space and offer (DESO).
Heathrow retail director Fraser Brown stated: “We’re very excited to welcome Five Guys to Terminal 5 – becoming the first airport in the UK and Europe to host the beloved burger brand. This exciting addition reflects our commitment to making every journey better, as we continue to build an extraordinary airport fit for the future. We’re confident this new arrival will be a hit with our passengers.”
Five Guys offers customisable burgers, providing customers 250,000 possible combinations from 15 free toppings. The brand is known for its generous portions, especially of fries.
Since its founding in Virginia in 1986 and its UK launch in London’s Covent Garden in 2013, Five Guys states it has built a dedicated fanbase.
In April 2025, Five Guys operator FG Korea, opened a seventh store in Apgujeong, Seoul.
