US chain International House of Pancakes (IHOP) has partnered with King’s Hawaiian, a California-based family-owned and operated bakery, to launch a French Toast menu creation.

King’s Hawaiian French Toast range includes four flavours, Original King’s Hawaiian French Toast, Cinnamon Toast, Strawberry Banana and Big Island Breakfast Stack.

IHOP culinary vice-president Nevielle Panthaky said: “Sixty years ago, the IHOP founders were inspired to bring all-day breakfast to tables across America after sampling some of the delicious pancake flavours native to Hawaii.

“This newest creation honours those early beginnings. We had a lot of fun working with the King’s Hawaiian team and taking their iconic and craveable sweet bread and combining it with some of our most mouth-watering ingredients – like warm cinnamon spread, cream cheese icing and sweet lingonberries.

“The result is a line-up of exciting new menu items that are unexpected and showcase our creativity when it comes to making other breakfast classics as craveable as our pancakes.”

Original King’s Hawaiian French Toast is made using two King’s Hawaiian Original sweet rolls dipped in vanilla batter and topped with butter and powdered sugar.
