Indian online food delivery platform Swiggy has launched a new feature, DeskEats, to meet the meal requirements of professionals in the workplace.

The service is now available in more than 7,000 tech parks, corporate office and business centres across 30 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata, as reported by The Financial Express.

The offering includes curated collections such as value combos, stress munchies, healthy nibbles, teamwork bites and one-handed grabbies, each designed for different workday situations, from individual lunches to quick snacks during meetings.

Data from the pilot phase of DeskEats has revealed some interesting consumption trends. In the stress munchies category, popcorn chicken was the most popular choice in Bengaluru, while fries were favoured in Mumbai and garlic breadsticks in Gurugram.

Salads were the leading option in the healthy nibbles category.

The DeskEats launch is in line with Swiggy’s ongoing efforts to engage with the corporate sector.
