The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) has formed a new advisory board to inform restaurant supply chain challenges to its board of directors.

The Chain Restaurant Advisory Board will consist of members that include IPC/Subway executive vice-president Dennis Clabby, Next Stage Partners president Sam Khoury and Brinker International supply chain management senior vice-president Charlie Lousignont.

IFMA, along with its board of directors, is currently establishing a new Go-To-Market Model for the foodservice industry.

“We are proud to include in this advisory board individuals, which the industry considers the best minds in our business.”

The advisory board will offer input on this new model and identify collaboration opportunities for new industry best practices.

IFMA president and CEO Larry Oberkfell said: “It is critical that we include and consider the chain restaurant needs in our work as they represent approximately 50% of the consumer revenue of the entire industry.

“We are proud to include in this advisory board individuals, which the industry considers the best minds in our business.”

IFMA is running two more similar initiatives such as Consumer Food Journey and a Operator Landscape Model as part of its Food Future 2025 framework.

The organisation is planning to share these models with the industry at the IFMA Presidents Conference to be held from 4 to 6 November this year in Arizona, US.
