Omnom’s community initiative, OmLife, will continue to operate from the new location. OmLife runs events including Soulful Sundays and bhakti yoga retreats, and places an emphasis on service, compassion and mindfulness.

The Birmingham opening continues Omnom’s partnership with Indian vegetarian restaurant group Namaste Village. Dishes from Namaste Village are described as central to Omnom’s menu.

As a registered charity, Omnom maintains a give-back pledge and each meal served results in a child in need being fed overseas.

The Islington site has hosted cultural and creative events such as podcast recordings, book launches and comedy nights. Omnom plans to continue the programme at the Birmingham restaurant.

Omnom founder Yuvi Rana stated: “Omnom began in Islington as an idea, to create a restaurant that feeds more than the body. We wanted to bring the timeless wisdom of bhakti yoga, the yoga of love and devotion, into a modern, accessible setting… to show that spirituality isn’t abstract, it’s something you can taste, feel and live every day. Our new Birmingham home — at twice the size of our London flagship — will allow us to expand that vision.”
