
Fast-casual Mexican restaurant chain QDOBA has signed a development agreement with Barry Dubin of B Wild Investments to open 50 US locations in the states of Alaska, Utah, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico.
This deal is one of the largest in the brand’s history.

B Wild Investments founder and CEO Barry Dubin stated: “Core to our investment thesis at B Wild, we are excited to be acquiring a scaled platform of high-quality assets while signing an agreement to perpetuate the growth of QDOBA in very attractive territories.
“We have significant trust and confidence in QDOBA’s leadership team, given our long-standing relationship with the current CEO of QDOBA, and look forward to expanding the brand’s presence in the Mountain West in close partnership with the brand.”
Dubin’s initial focus will be on establishing restaurants in areas such as Salt Lake City, St. George, Albuquerque, Las Vegas and regions surrounding Colorado Springs.
B Wild Investments has also made a definitive purchase agreement to acquire one of QDOBA’s largest franchisees, with the transaction expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025.

QDOBA has made agreements with 20 new franchisees since September 2024 and has 600 future restaurants in its development pipeline.
Recent signing locations include Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dallas-Fort Worth/Waco, Texas and several areas in Ohio – all sold-out priority markets.
The company is actively seeking growth opportunities in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas.
It operates in 45 US states and is targeting both traditional and non-traditional locations, including airports, universities and military bases.
QDOBA CEO John Cywinski stated: “I’ve known Barry for 15 years, since I was president of KFC, where he was my largest franchise partner.
“Barry is an exceptional leader, strategist and operator, and I’m absolutely thrilled he is joining the QDOBA brand.”
In June 2025, QDOBA expanded its US presence by opening its 800th restaurant in North Miami Beach, Florida.
