
US-based casual dining restaurant chain Red Lobster has joined the ezCater online catering marketplace to serve up its signature items in over 600 US cities.
ezCater’s platform is claimed to assist restaurants and caterers to grow and manage their business. More than 70,000 restaurants and caterers use its platform.
The move marks the entry of Red Lobster into the $62bn catering market.
The casual dining restaurant chain will offer its signature items such as wood-grilled chicken taco bars, Maine lobster tails, and cheddar bay biscuits.
Other popular items to be offered by Red Lobster include chilled lobster and shrimp rolls, lobster bisque and garlic shrimp scampi.
Red Lobster president and chief concept officer Salli Setta said: “Nothing makes a meeting more enjoyable than food, especially freshly prepared seafood and our iconic cheddar bay biscuits.

The casual dining restaurant chain Red Lobster and ezCater are currently offering customers a free order of cheddar bay biscuits with every weekday catering order placed until 17 January.
Red Lobster claims to sell more than 350 million cheddar bay biscuits annually.
ezCater catering partner business head Mike O’Hanlon said: “We are thrilled to offer the world’s largest seafood restaurant chain, Red Lobster, to all of our customers.
“People can now enjoy their favourites from Red Lobster at work, and it gives Red Lobster a great opportunity to grow their off-premises business.”
Florida-based Red Lobster has over 50,000 employees in more than 700 restaurants in the US and Canada.
In June 2018, ezCater raised $100m in venture capital to expand its catering platform to international markets.
