Fast-casual salad franchise Saladworks is to expand its presence in the US state of North Carolina through a new 10-unit development agreement.
The move will introduce the brand’s fresh, customisable salads and health-forward dining experience across the state.
Local entrepreneur and CEO of Mixon Foods, Zack Mixon, is spearheading the expansion.
Mixon, who shifted from a 20-year career in construction to restaurant ownership in 2018, has a portfolio that includes King Chicken Drive-In and Boss Hog’s Chicken & BBQ.
Mixon stated: “When I discovered Saladworks as a customer, I was immediately impressed by the brand’s focus on freshness, quality and cleanliness, and knew this was the kind of concept I wanted to invest in.
“My family and I are proud to expand our portfolio with a concept that reflects our values, and bring the Saladworks and WOWorks experience to communities across my home state.”
