Smoothie King has unveiled a new Hydration smoothie category in the US, featuring three blends designed to provide natural hydration during the hot summer months.
The category comprises the new Hydration Pineapple Mango and Hydration Berry smoothies, alongside the returning Hydration Watermelon option. All contain electrolytes and coconut water, and are free from artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
For a limited time, starting 30 May, Smoothie King is offering Free Upsize Friday to all guests, allowing them to enjoy a 32oz smoothie for the price of a 20oz. This promotion, previously exclusive to loyalty members, now extends to everyone, every Friday.
Hydration Watermelon, described as a “fan favourite,” combines strawberries, watermelon juice blend and coconut water. Hydration Pineapple Mango offers mango pineapple and apple-pineapple juice. Hydration Berry is a mix of strawberries, pineapples, raspberries and coconut water.
These smoothies feature more electrolytes than some leading sports drinks, and are described as supporting active lifestyles and performance.
Smoothie King chief marketing officer Claudia Schaefer stated: “Our guests want hydration that not only delivers results, but also tastes amazing.
