SPB Hospitality, a portfolio company of Fortress Investment Group based in the US state of Texas, has promoted Ryan Russell to the role of chief of staff.
Russell will report directly to GJ Hart, chairman and CEO of the company.

He will work alongside the leadership group to bolster cross‑functional collaboration, reinforce the company’s culture and back strategic initiatives across SPB’s portfolio.
Hart stated: “[Ryan Russell] has a proven track record of driving performance across SPB’s restaurant portfolio while building strong partnerships with our support team, operators and communities.
“In his new role as chief of staff, Ryan will continue to oversee PR and corporate communications while expanding his focus on internal communications, culture and cross-brand alignment, ensuring our restaurants and teams are empowered to deliver exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence every day.”
Russell became part of SPB in 2021 and has held several leadership positions, most recently serving as senior director of communications and marketing.

He expanded the company’s cause‑marketing efforts to encompass partnerships with Gift A Meal and K9s for Warriors.

SPB Hospitality runs a network of full‑service restaurants spanning 25 states including Stoney River Steakhouse & Grill, J Alexander’s, Chef José Garces’ Amada and Village Whiskey, and Logan’s Roadhouse.
In 2024, SPB purchased the Amada and Village Whiskey restaurant brands from 3BM1, which trades as Ideation Hospitality.
