Starbucks has teamed up with Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging to expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging network.

100 Starbucks locations in the US will be equipped with high-power EV chargers.

The chosen Starbucks locations will showcase the Alpitronic Hypercharger 400, designed to accommodate a variety of electric vehicles with its NACS cables and extensive voltage compatibility.

The initial phase of the expansion will see the installation of EV chargers along a 1,400-mile stretch of Interstate 5, from Washington to California.

The deployment will focus on urban areas and regions with limited charging infrastructure, known as charging deserts.

Starbucks has identified the expansion of its EV charging network as a key component of its environmental strategy, which aims to have a positive planetary impact.
