The payments company will also use the capital infusion to speed up product innovation and expand its team.

The business powers self-service kiosks and mobile ordering for high-volume fast-casual venues, scan-to-pay and reorder workflows for casual dining, and design-led payment flows for fine dining – including QR codes on the bill, invisible payments and customer relationship management (CRM).

It also supports enterprises bolstering white-labelled guest platforms and AI-powered features.

Lugger stated: “Guests who pay with their phone behave just like they would in other digital experiences – they leave feedback, rate their experience and generate data. And with the rise of AI, that unlocks an incredible amount of insight.

“Compared to traditional reservation platforms, sunday provides 11 to 13 times more guest feedback – instantly. It’s a game changer for hospitality.”

sunday connects with restaurants’ existing technology via more than 50 integrations, such as Toast, Lightspeed, NCR and Paytronix.

The solution spans menus, ordering, payments, loyalty and CRM, with booking and delivery features planned.

The startup operates across the US, France and the UK, with the US as its primary market.

It is expanding further there with planned launches in Austin, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Washington DC, and will launch in the United Arab Emirates with a major group expected to go live in January 2026.

sunday US CEO and co-founder Christine de Wendel stated: “We’re building the category-defining platform for hospitality, one that connects every touchpoint into a single, frictionless experience.

“The appetite from the industry is huge, and we’re here to lead the charge.”

sunday aims to double revenue, guest traffic and product uptake by summer 2026.
