Quick service restaurant chain Texas Chicken has appointed Yang Ming Ong as the company’s vice-president.

Ong will work with the team based in Singapore and will be responsible for key functions in more than 16 countries across the Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the Black Sea Basin.

Ong will oversee development, training, marketing, and strategy functions of the company across all markets.

Before joining Texas Chicken, Ong worked with KFC Asia as head of strategy and franchise profitability. He also worked with Yum! Brands managing operations, finance and strategy divisions.

Prior to Yum! Brands, Ong worked with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Texas Chicken, along with its sister brand Church’s Chicken, currently operates more than 1,650 locations in 27 countries. The restaurant’s menu offerings include chicken variants, Tender Strips and honey-butter biscuits.
