The tie-up will equip the US casual-dining brand with Toast’s point of sale (POS) platform and other tools.

The choice was driven by the chain’s need for operational efficiency and scaleability.

TGI Fridays technology vice-president Samuel Langley stated: “TGI Fridays has always been about creating a welcoming space for people to come together, and technology has become an increasing part of a feel-good dining experience.

“Toast provides us with the innovative, intuitive and scaleable tech we need to enhance our guest experience and empower our teams, ensuring that the spirit of TGI Fridays continues to thrive. We look forward to working with Toast as we continue to grow here in the US and beyond.”

The implementation includes Toast’s kitchen display systems, multi-location management, mobile order and pay, and Toast Go handhelds.

The agreement also provides the option to add products such as Catering Pro, Waitlist and kiosks.

Toast caters to hundreds of multi-unit brands, including Craveworthy Brands, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Caribou Coffee, Potbelly Sandwich Shop and Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill.

In April 2025, US casual dining chain Applebee’s chose Toast as its new partner for POS and kitchen display systems.
