Troon has expanded its food and beverage division through the acquisition of RealFood.

Established in 1996, RealFood currently serves more than 500 international clients. The company will join Troon’s brand portfolio, which currently includes Troon Golf, Honours Golf, Troon Privé, Caddiemaster, Troon International, True Club Solutions and Cliff Drysdale Management.

The deal will triple Troon’s food and beverage department, which currently operates banquet and restaurant operations at more than 150 golf resorts, private clubs and recreational facilities.

Troon president Tim Schantz said: “Troon currently delivers a wide gamut of food and beverages services at our managed facilities.

“Our alliance with the food service consulting firm will significantly increase our food and beverage expertise and capabilities.”

In addition, Troon will operate the food service consulting firm under the same banner, as well as continue Ed Doyle as its president.

The golf course management firm will also open a new corporate office in Boston, Massachusetts, to allow RealFood to serve more customers in Northeast US and facilitate regional growth opportunities.
