The chain aims to push further into markets including Laos, the Philippines, Japan, Oman and Bahrain.

Thailand-based coffee chain Café Amazon has outlined plans to intensify its overseas expansion.

Leveraging a franchise service model, the chain aims to push further into markets including Laos, the Philippines, Japan, Oman and Bahrain.

Café Amazon now operates more than 5,000 outlets worldwide and reported sales of more than 107 million cups of coffee in the second quarter of 2025.

The chain sources its beans from farms in the Phah Lang, Pang Khon, Mae Wang and Doi Inthanon areas of norther Thailand.

Domestically, OR is expanding its OASYS facility in Ayutthaya, an integrated complex that encompasses bakery production, roasting, distribution and a barista academy.

A portion of the hub’s electricity comes from solar panels. It uses a zero-wastewater process and has created local jobs.

Its Café Amazon for Chance programme has been rolled out to more than 430 outlets in Thailand, providing work placements for disadvantaged groups, such as the hearing-impaired and the elderly.

The Central Plaza Hotel Public Company (Centel) recently that that it will withdraw from a joint venture running the Café Amazon brand in Vietnam, citing a strategic refocus.

This decision led to the dissolution of the company that operated the chain in that market.

The joint venture had been formed between Centel’s indirect subsidiary, Central Restaurants Group (Vietnam), which held 40%, and PTTOR International Holdings (Singapore), a subsidiary of PTT Oil and Retail Business, which owned 60%.
